Marines of the Palouse, Inc.
The mission of the Marines of the Palouse is to serve all military veterans, first responders and their families by providing needs based support, resources and community connections
that ensure continued success of our brothers and sisters in and out of uniform.
Camaraderie is the lifeblood of a team. It is what fuels results. What each of us brings to his team is a set of skills and strengths coordinated for maximum results in supporting our comrades and our communities.
The military has taught us all to lead by example. As we embrace our new mission outside of the military we all strive to be leaders in our communities by offering our time, treasures and talents to better the lives of those we serve in and around the Palouse.
We believe in open communication and positive follow-through to build trust within our organization and our communities.
The Marines of the Palouse was formed in the Spring of 2012. Ted Owens, Matt Decker and Mack Anderson are all originally from Moscow, Idaho. We all graduated from Moscow High School within a few years of each other and we all joined the Marine Corps within a short span as well. The reason Marines of the Palouse was formed was that there was no Marine Corps Ball and we wanted to celebrate our birthday in the traditional manner. We then incorporated with a 501c3, and decided to create a non-profit organization. The reason for the non-profit status was to raise money for veterans in need and to find ways to give back to the community we love so much! With an increasing number of PTSD and TBI cases coming back home, we are looking to provide an outlet and even outdoor therapy to try and help out our comrades.
